The Deakin Bug Lab, led by Dr Nick Porch, provides those interested in entomological research an opportunity to get hands-on experience in a lab setting. Volunteers will assist in sorting leaf litter samples collected from a range of sites, including an altitudinal transect of Mt Baw Baw, which will assist furthering research into the invertebrates which live amongst the leaf litter. This will be a monthly ongoing event, and will provide a chance to contribute to active research while developing skills in invertebrate identification and ecology.
Registration required as this event is limited to 60 participants.

NOTE: If you register please turn up as there is high demand for the “Bug Lab”, and not showing up means someone who wants to attend will miss out. If you have missed out and would like to join the cancellation list to be notified if a spot becomes available, please email the Secretary.
